i‘m trying to get ready for my upcoming trip to morocco in january. this consists of eating lots of moroccan food and drinking lots of mint tea.
in my ongoing quest, i dragged my parents to this little place that i found tucked away on a random, seemingly deserted street. as it turns out, le 404 is quite a popular restaurant…
when you walk in the door, you really feel like you’ve left paris. there are large pots filled with couscous and simmering meats, low tables, low lights, pillow lined walls and a smell of spices that hits you as soon as you enter. reservations are needed and once they start seating, it fills up very fast. needless to say, we had a very good time, and left with very full bellies… maybe a little too full.
69 rue des Gravilliers, 75003
if you are looking for something a little quicker and a little cheaper, there is another, also good, moroccan food restaurant just down the street with live music on friday nights. if you want something even more low key, you should head to les enfants rouges, as that was some of the best i’ve had yet. i told you i’ve been preparing for my trip!
